Dr Lucy Tongen was amazing. We have been struggling with our cats for a while with over grooming and bald patches that turn raw. We had done everything our regular vet recommended so we decided it was time to seek out more specialized care. From the minute we walked in the door here it was amazing. They had a chalkboard in the clinic that had our cats name and welcoming all the other pets of the day, we thought that was super cute and thoughtful. Once we saw the doc she did a very through exam and talked with us in depth about what had been going on. She listened to our concerns. The doc then used the whiteboard in the room and visually and verbally explained what the possibilities were, treatment options, side affects, and possible future treatments. The appointment was scheduled just for 1 hour but we probably spent closer to 1.5 hours with the doc which was incredible, she answered every single question we could have. Another thing we really appreciated was that they were upfront about costs. A lot of vets will say hey we want to run this other test, go run it, come back and say and that will be $500. Here they were very upfront about what they were doing, why they wanted to run the other test, the possible outcomes from doing this test, and how treatment plans could change based on the test. They then gave us the price estimate with and without this test so we could make an informed decision. I am very very happy with the treatment here and we will continue to follow up here as needed and will recommend to everyone who might be struggling.

Update: Imanigne him without teeth! the "need for teeth cleaning and probable removal of several was bs. $2k~estimate! Took to our vet-medium plac which came off quickly, all teeth, gums and roots in great health-under $500 (25% of animal derm AND, our dog gets to keep his teeth!!! How can this "specialist" suggest tooth removal?? I'm not the swiftest on the block (well, maybe) and can only think of two reasons-greed or incompetency-sure there must be a third, but if not, would like to know which or perhaps both? Dishonest, used scare tactics, charged $3,500 for what ended up bering an ear cleaning (outside of eardrum). Went in 6 months prior and had inner eardrum on our dog cleaned as he was losing hearing. Went in again and after the $250+ exam the doctor said the eardrum was bulging and it appears the same issue as last time. Agreed to $3,300 more for what he said we needed which included going through the eardrum to clean the inside. Turns out the expensive catscan said not bulging so all they did was clean the outside of the ear. Still charged us the full $3,300 in addition to the expensive, scare-tactic exam. Said, well, we already discounted so you need to pay the full $3,300 more for us doing what any vet would do for a couple hundred (paraphrased here). They were aware my dog is my service animal and that I am 100% disabled. Feels like I have been taken advantage of due to this.

Jodi is an exceptional person to deal with. Exceptional. Positive and welcoming. Our veterinarian and her colleague were caring, professional and thorough. Our beloved dog is in good hands.
